The last day of 1944 found the crew over the Euskirchen marshalling yard at 22,000 feet, continuing the campaign against German supply lines feeding the Bulge. Visual conditions prevailed throughout the 950-nautical-mile round trip; front-line flak was meager. Two aircraft from the formation aborted the mission.
