Sanford Reback.

Sanford A. Reback served as navigator on the 1 August 1943 Ploesti mission. Lt. Beaumont believed him to be dead, noting that Reback was in the nose of the aircraft when the plane reached the crash site.

Romanian witnesses reported that crew members not seen alive after the crash were dead, with some bodies carbonized. Beaumont listed Reback among those believed dead based on his position in the aircraft and the Romanian reports.
