§ Biography
2nd Lt. Roger W. Hayes served as co-pilot of B-24D 41-23729, 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He was reported missing on 18 October 1943 following a diversion mission in which the aircraft was lost due to enemy aircraft action at approximately 54 degrees 20' N, 04 degrees 50' E.
His father, Mr. Charles S. Hayes, was listed as next of kin at 1162 South Grove Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois. He is commemorated at Cambridge American Cemetery.
