F/O Robert L. Burke (T-122785) served as navigator aboard the aircraft. He bailed out through the nose wheel hatch on 2 March 1944 and was taken prisoner of war.
Burke confirmed the pilot, 2nd Lt. Mankin, was in the aircraft when it struck the ground near Doullens, France. Burke was brought the pilot's body at Amiens, France.
