Technical Sergeant Nick Vargo served with the 93rd Bomb Group. He is listed as a crew member of a B-24 lost on 12 April 1944. His first name was recorded as 'Hick' in the German case summary (KU 1262), almost certainly a transcription error for 'Nick.'
No individual German capture or recovery document for Vargo is present in available records. His ultimate fate following the loss of his aircraft remains unknown.
