Part of the 93rd Bomb Group, sent to England in January 1945. Experienced the ME-262 jet fighters in combat. German fighters were less numerous than earlier in the war but still inflicted damage, and anti-aircraft ammunition remained plentiful.

Born June 8, 1922 in Baltimore, MD. Joined USAAC in 1942 and became part of a combat crew on a B-24.
After the war, returned to civilian life but remained in the Reserves. Worked for Martin Marietta in management. Graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Juris Doctor Degree. Returned to active duty in 1968 with the Air Force; retired as colonel in 1982. Married Elizabeth (Betty); two sons, two daughters, 14 grandchildren. Lives in Florida.
