Jerome J. Hummel.

Sergeant Jerome J. Hummel, serial number 36440555, served with the 330th Bombardment Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He was captured severely injured at Pressoir on 19 June 1944, following the crash of his aircraft near that location. He was transferred to a hospital at Montargis, where he died the same day at 14:00.

A German Report on Capture of Members of Enemy Air Forces (KU 2251), dated 21 June 1944, documented his capture and death. He was interred at the Cemetery of Montargis, 7th row right, grave number 4.
