Before the War

Born Aug. 31, 1924 in Belt, MT. Joined USAAF December 1942. Pilot training Class 44-E at Lubbock, TX; B-24 transition training at Fort Worth, TX; Boise, ID.

After the War

Discharged August 1945; recalled March 1951. Discharged second time September 1954. Returned to Eastern Washington College of Education (EWCE) at Cheney, WA; graduated with BA (1947). Career in education. Recalled March 1951 to fly B-29s and B-50s; attended School of Aviation Medicine. Returned to classroom after September 1954 discharge. Graduated USC with MS in education. Moved to northern California; owned and operated cattle and horse ranch. Retired from USAFR. Retired from education career 1983 to pursue full-time ranch operation and back country outfitting.
