Joined USAAC on July 2, 1941. Military locations and stations included Lowry Field, Savannah, GA, 93rd Bomb Group in Hardwick, England.
Memorable experiences included service at Tobruk, Benghazi, Tunis; finished the war in England. Retired December 6, 1979 with rank of colonel. Received Presidential Unit Citation, 11 Battle Stars and Air Force Meritorious Medal.
