§ Biography
Sergeant Fred H. Lowery served with the 330th Bombardment Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He was found dead at the crash site of a Liberator near Pressoir, France, on 19 June 1944. The bodies at the crash site were described by German authorities as completely charred.
His identification tag was recovered and forwarded to the Air Force Prisoner of War Camp at Chartres. The German forwarding report from Air Port HQ E 209/XII at Villaroche was dated in association with the crash. A briefcase containing navigation documents was also recovered at the scene.
