§ Biography
Sgt. Donald E. Bannon served as tunnel gunner on B-24D 41-23732 on the 16 April 1943 mission to Brest. He was killed in action on 16 April 1943 when the aircraft was lost near Isle D'Ouessant.
The MACR lists his name variously as Bonnon and Bonnom due to OCR errors; the page 2 correspondence index confirms the correct spelling as Bannon.
