§ Biography
Sgt. Dale V. Hunter served as waist gunner aboard B-24D 41-23111 on the 9 October 1943 Danzig mission. He was among the crew members in the tail area during the forced landing near Logaby, Sweden.
Hunter was uninjured and was interned in Sweden. He was subsequently returned to duty after the internment period.
