Internment in Switzerland
On 7 January 1944, S/Sgt. Bruno A. Ceroone was serving as right waist gunner aboard B-24H (42-7519) of the 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group, on a mission to Ludwigshafen, Germany. The aircraft suffered mechanical failure and made an emergency landing at Dübendorf airfield, Switzerland. Ceroone and his entire crew were interned for the remainder of the war. (MACR 2367)
