§ Biography
S/Sgt Arthur B. Crocker (also recorded as Crooker; ASN 34467468) served as waist gunner with the 409th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He bailed out of the burning aircraft northeast of Lille, France on 2 March 1944 during the Frankfurt mission after the plane was hit by flak and caught fire. Crocker was captured and became a prisoner of war, as confirmed in E&E Reports No. 670 and No. 826.
