2nd Lt. Andrew J. Logan, O-682200, served as navigator aboard B-24 Liberator 42-100320 in the 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He was born 24 December 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On 2 March 1944, during the return from a mission against Frankfurt, he bailed out at position 4955N 0530E during a heavy flak barrage. The reason for his action was not known to the remaining crew.
Theater records confirmed his status as captured as of 2 March 1944. He was processed through Dulag-Luft (record no. 6-3224.AF(6), dated 26 April 1944) and held at Stalag VI G, Dulsdorf near Bonn. A German casualty report listed his place of crash as Luxembourg. His identification tag listed next of kin as Mrs. J. Dougherty, 549 E Carver Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
