The Ship
Piloted by Lieutenant Claude A. Turner, Vulgar Virgin was the last Tidal Wave crew to reach Corlin, Turkey, bringing the Circus's internee count there to 22. Turner's crew included co-pilot Charles T. Holbrook, navigator James E. Marquis, bombardier Donald A. DeArmand, and six enlisted gunners and radio operators. The Turkish hosts, aware the field was normally used only for defensive patrols, apologized that the newly arrived Americans would have to sleep in shifts.
