Unidentified ship

After G for George's forced landing at RAF Manston, Captain Dobbs flew the war-weary O for Oboe over from Hardwick to collect McGuire's crew, ferrying them on to Bury St. Edmunds where Dobbs traded up for a new aircraft. He sent McGuire to fly O for Oboe back to Hardwick the next day. The landing went badly: the aircraft skewed off the runway and struck a pile of logs with its left strut, and the number two propeller scattered debris across the field. Between the two wrecked ships, the book records simply that "Ancient G for George and O for Oboe were finished."
