“Birmingham Express”

John A. Bogan flew Birmingham Express on the December 16, 1943 mission to the shipyards, blast furnaces, and steel mills at Bremen, with John Butler again serving as tail-gunner. Butler noted in his diary that flak over the target was heavy, though the aircraft came through the mission intact.
