Ted R. Ellinger
Sgt. Ted R. Ellinger served as waist gunner aboard B-24H 42-94991. He bailed out successfully after the aircraft was struck by flak near Falaise on 13 August 1944.
Ellinger was captured and held as a prisoner of war. His POW status was confirmed on 11 November 1944. Sgt. Bishop reported seeing him at Camp Lucky Strike, France, in fair condition following liberation.
His next of kin was listed as Mrs. Dana Ellinger (mother), General Delivery, Buffalo Gap, Texas.
