Assigned to 409th Sqdn., 93rd Bomb Group at Hardwick, England in summer 1944. Flew combat as flight engineer and upper Martin turret gunner aboard B-24s Gambling Lady and Tabasco Keeds from Sept. 18, 1944 to March 21, 1945. Completed 35 bombing missions in "Ted's Flying Circus."
