Fred Lakner

1st Lt. Fred Lakner served as co-pilot on Capt. Maddocks' B-24 with the 329th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group.
The aircraft went down near Urk, Holland on 24 February 1944. His fate was unknown at the time of Maddocks' interrogation on 10 May 1945.

Pilot Class 43-J. Served with 8th Air Force, 2nd Air Division, 93rd Bomb Group. Shot down on 29th mission, Feb. 24, 1945; held as POW at Neuburg/Moosburg until liberation.
