Charles R. Hutchens
1st Lt. Charles R. Hutchens served as pilot of B-24D 41-23729, 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. He was aboard the aircraft when it was reported missing following a diversion mission on 18 October 1943, the date of his death.
The aircraft was lost at approximately 54 degrees 20' N, 04 degrees 50' E at 1325 hours due to enemy aircraft action. His wife, Mrs. Dorothy L. Hutchens, was listed as next of kin at 856 Gladstone Boulevard, Shreveport, Louisiana. He is buried at Cambridge American Cemetery.
