Allan F. Rabinovitz
2nd Lt. Allan F. Rabinovitz served as navigator on B-24D 41-23810 on the 4 January 1944 mission to Kiel. The MACR form spells the surname as 'Kabinavitz' due to a transcription error; Reynolds' post-war questionnaire spells it correctly as 'Rabinovitz.' The MACR gives serial O-865721; the DB carries O-685721.
Rabinovitz was killed in action. Pilot Andrew Reynolds, in his post-war questionnaire, reported he died on 4 January 1944 near the German-Danish border, not far from Schleswig. Reynolds noted he was not a direct eyewitness but believed him dead.
