“Sweater Gal”
Originally BUCK-FIFTY JOB (reference to the going rate for a London Lady of the Evening). Due to the nude woman and very sexy name, she was clothed and renamed by ground crew, when an officer wanted her covered up.
In October or November 1944 she was transferred to the 329th Squadron and given radio call letter I. Declared war-weary, she was eventually salvaged at Base Air Depot 3, Langford Lodge, Northern Ireland.
