§ This Ship
Spencer's 075-L flew as a 2nd Bomb Division lead-crew deputy with a Mickey operator and pathfinder navigator, carrying two 500-pound GPs. They released on Koblenz at 11:59½ from 22,600 feet on a heading of 348° true. The Mickey operator thought the hits were in the northwest part of town, probably near the visual target. Mickey operation was fine; on the bomb run they picked up a spot of town and lost the rivers after bombs away. The deputy lead took over 15 miles south of Koblenz for a run at 11:52. They were generally south of course all the way in, did not make the IP good, and were following the 446th. Sortie credit was given. No takeoff or landing times were entered.
