Internment in Switzerland

On 7 January 1944, Pvt. William R. DeLozier was serving as tail gunner aboard B-24H (42-7519) of the 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group, on a mission to Ludwigshafen, Germany. The aircraft suffered mechanical failure and made an emergency landing at Dübendorf airfield, Switzerland. DeLozier and his entire crew were interned for the remainder of the war. (MACR 2367)
