The Man Behind the Name
S/Sgt. William M. Dulin served as waist gunner aboard B-24D 41-23111 on the 9 October 1943 Danzig mission. He was in the tail section of the aircraft when it made its forced landing near Logaby, Sweden.
Dulin was uninjured in the forced landing and was interned in Sweden. He was subsequently returned to duty.
