§ Biography

2d Lt. William Hassen, ASN O-741514, was the bombardier on the 7 January 1944 Ludwigshafen mission. The aircraft dropped its bombs with the formation before the engines began failing on the return leg.

Hassen's status was listed as MIA following the crew's bail-out south of Paris. No further information about his fate appears in Fruth's E&E report.
