§ Biography

T/Sgt. Victor A. Bichard served as flight engineer aboard B-24D 41-23111 on the 9 October 1943 Danzig mission. He was on the flight deck when the aircraft made its forced landing in Sweden.

Bichard was uninjured in the landing near Logaby, Sweden, and was subsequently interned. He was reported at Korshus, Sweden in good condition on 12 November 1943 and eventually returned to duty.
