2d Lt. Sigmund Spritz (ASN O-682256) served as navigator aboard the aircraft on the 7 January 1944 mission to Ludwigshafen. The crew was flying with Fruth, who was an extra gunner not assigned to this crew.

Spritz's status following the bail-out was listed as MIA. He was captured after the bail-out and became a prisoner of war.
