Graduated as bombardier at Midland Army Air Field. Assigned to crew at Westover Army Air Field. Combat training at Chatham Army AFB, Georgia, then to combat on B-24 Liberator. Flew 11 missions with the 93rd Bomb Group from Hardwick, England over Germany.

Born July 12, 1924 in Chicago, IL. Enlisted in the USAAC on Jan. 23, 1943. Sent to Camp Crowder, MO for a teletyping course; assigned to 437th Troop Carrier Command Signal Center. Passed Air Force examination and graduated as a bombardier at Midland Army Air Field.
Discharged from WWII as second lieutenant. Recalled for Korean conflict, trained on B-29s at San Antonio AAF; assigned to Mountain Home Air Field, ID, then SAAC for remainder of conflict. Discharged from Korean conflict as first lieutenant. Received Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, ETO, and others. Married, three children, six grandchildren.
