§ Biography
1st Lt. Roy C. Harms served as pilot of the aircraft on the 1 August 1943 Ploesti mission with the 329th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. His aircraft was hit by flak and caught fire over the target.
T/Sgt. Jack Reed, who filed the evasion report, saw no other crew members after reaching the ground and received no information about Harms' fate. His ultimate disposition after the aircraft went down was listed as unknown.
