T/Sgt. R.E. Richardson (14073773) served as radio operator on the Ploesti mission of August 1, 1943, with the 329th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group.
His fate following the loss of the aircraft was not known to T/Sgt. Reed. Given the low altitude at which the bailout occurred, Reed believed the crew members were likely killed in the crash or fire.
