The Man Behind the Name
Capt. Paul L. Mathison served as co-pilot aboard B-24J 42-50606, nicknamed 'Jukebox Jenny', on the 12 October 1944 mission to Osnabruck.
Mathison was killed when the aircraft was shot down. He was initially interred at the Prisoner of War Cemetery, Achmer, Row 2, Grave 112, per German casualty records (Casualty No. KU 3184). After the war his remains were repatriated and reinterred at the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Plot P, Row 2, Grave 13.
