John F. Minogue.
Pilot · 409th Squadron · Of 506 North Claudin Street, Anaheim, California, CA.
The Man Behind the Name
2nd Lt. John F. Minogue is listed on the MACR as an extra pilot. The report header area references him, and a correction document from ETOUSA headquarters dated 24 July 1944 specifically corrects his serial number to O-734117.
A certificate from the 93rd Bombardment Group dated 10 July 1944 notes that on August 1, 1943, A/C No. 612-K with Porter as pilot and Minogue as co-pilot was missing over target — suggesting Minogue may have been co-pilot rather than extra pilot, with Boswell filling a separate crew role.
His next of kin was listed as Mrs. Pearl T. Minogue (mother), 506 North Claudin Street, Anaheim, California.
