Sgt. John T. Dee served as a crew member aboard B-24D 42-40609 in the 330th Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. The aircraft was lost on August 1, 1943 during the low-level mission to the Ploesti oil refineries in Romania. His status was listed as unknown on the MACR.
Next of kin listed for Dee was Mr. William Dee (father), 1212 Meadow Avenue, Charleroi, Pennsylvania. His name appears consistently across all OCR versions of the next-of-kin page.
