T/Sgt. Gregorio Oliva served as radio operator aboard B-24J 42-73495 on the 8 April 1944 mission to Brunswick, Germany. He survived the shoot-down over the Island of Schokland in the Ijsselmeer and was captured. German records noted his birthdate as 4 January 1921 and identified his hometown as San Francisco del Rincon, Mexico.
Oliva was transferred to Dulag Luft on 12 April 1944. His serial number is recorded as 39554977 on the MACR, though German records show 39854977. His next of kin was his mother, Mrs. Maxima F. Oliva, Box 1240, Winslow, Arizona.
