2nd Lieutenant George J. Brandon Jr. served as navigator with the 330th Bombardment Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group. The MACR lists his name as 'Brandon, George J. Jr.' His wife, Mrs. Dorothy P. Brantley (surname variant in next-of-kin record), resided at 59 East Corbin Street, Concord, North Carolina.
A German telegram (KU 2260) from Air Port HQ A(O) 6/III Stettin, dated 21 June 1944, reported Brandon as captured (GEF). He was listed as '2nd Lt Brandon, George 711323' among four captured airmen reported to the Transit Camp at Oberursel.
