§ Biography

S/Sgt. Eugene T. Cole, born 19 July 1921, served as tail gunner. His next of kin was his mother, Mrs. Mary A. Cole, of Box 1561, Beckley, West Virginia.

Cole bailed out on 25 February 1944 and was captured by German forces in the Dahn/Pirmasens area. His identification tag number was 15066337. He was among the eight fliers captured by 1906 hours and was transported to Pirmasens and then to Dulag Luft.
