The Man Behind the Name
1st Lt. Edward J. Krall served as dead-reckoning navigator aboard B-24L 44-49573, 329th Bomb Squadron, on the 23 March 1945 mission to Munster. His father, William T. Krall, resided at 7001 Ridge Boulevard, Brooklyn, New York.
Killed in action 23 March 1945. Lt. Howering confirmed seeing Krall's body near the crash site. His mother, Mrs. Helen I. Krall, wrote directly to General Arnold expressing anguish at the lack of notification of his death.
