§ Biography

S/Sgt. Edgar A. Puryear served as left waist gunner. His next of kin was his mother, Mrs. Edna Puryear, of Route Number 1, Lynnville, Tennessee.

Puryear bailed out on 25 February 1944 and was captured by German forces in the Dahn/Pirmasens area. His identification tag number was 34194967. He was among the nine fliers captured on 25-27 February 1944 and was delivered to Dulag Luft.
