Internment in Switzerland

On 7 January 1944, 1st Lt. David M. Richardson piloted B-24H (42-7519) of the 328th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group, on a mission to Ludwigshafen, Germany. The aircraft suffered mechanical failure and Richardson force-landed at Dübendorf airfield, Switzerland. He and his entire crew were interned for the remainder of the war. (MACR 2367)
