§ Biography

Sgt. Daniel J. Parvese, ASN 12168556, was the left waist gunner on the 7 January 1944 mission to Ludwigshafen. His surname appears as Varbese in the E&E crew lists and Parveso on the MACR home-address page; Parvese is the spelling in the NARA records. Fruth observed him exit the aircraft through the bomb bay before him.

Parvese's official status was listed as MIA following the mission. He was captured after the bail-out and became a prisoner of war.
