§ Biography

2nd Lt. Clair F. Mullin, serial number O-699707, was a crew member of B-24 serial 42-99949 assigned to the 328th Bombardment Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group.

Mullin was initially reported missing in action on 21 September 1944 following the mid-air collision over Belgium. He was subsequently confirmed killed in action on 21 September 1944 per European Theater of Operations Casualty Shipment 143.

A report from 145th Wing Headquarters and Captain R. A. Pelletier's account stated that 8 bodies completely burnt were found in the aircraft. Burial was made at Flanders Field American Cemetery, Belgium, on 24 September 1944.
