§ Biography

T/Sgt. Charles I. Lockwood served as radio operator aboard B-24D 41-23111 on the 9 October 1943 Danzig mission. He was on the flight deck at the time of the forced landing in Sweden.

Lockwood was uninjured in the landing near Logaby, Sweden, and was interned. He was subsequently returned to duty after internment.
