Discharged Nov. 30, 1945 with the rank first lieutenant, navigator. His awards include the Air Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, Victory Medal and ETO Ribbon with stars.
As a navigator with the 328th Squadron his Gee receiver often failed as soon as they passed about 10,000 feet; the problem was fixed before he finished 34 missions and one abort. He flew the 25 April 1945 mission to Salzburg, the 93rd's last.
