§ Biography

Sgt. Adam G. Leskis served as a waist gunner on the crew lost on 20 June 1944 over Germany. His father, Mr. Peter Leskis, resided at R.F.D. Number 1, Harrisburg, Illinois. His serial number appears as 36306504 on the MACR and as 36305804 in German personal effects inventory documents.

A German telegram (KU 2260) from Air Port HQ A(O) 6/III Stettin reported six crew members killed in the 20 June 1944 crash. Leskis is named explicitly among the dead as 'Adam M.G. Leskis Sgt.' The narrative notes that 'Adam' may be a German transcription error for the first name 'Alan.'
