Ready and Willing, B-24D
The Ship

Piloted by Packy Roche and Bob Brown, Ready & Willing made the North Atlantic crossing to England in September 1942 with faulty landing lights and instruments, putting down safely near Prestwick after a flight of ten and a half hours. Roche was again at the controls on August 1, 1943, when the aircraft flew as the last Circus ship over the target on the low-level Ploesti raid; it came home with five wounded men aboard.
