The Ship
Patches served with the 93rd's 409th Squadron, carrying radio call letters O and later K. On March 5, 1945, while returning from a practice camera bombing mission over Norwich, she was struck by friendly anti-aircraft fire and ditched in the sea four to five miles off Clacton-on-Sea.
