The Ship

Nancy Lee served with the 93rd's 328th Squadron. She was named by pilot Norman Roggenkamp for his infant daughter, Nancy Lee, who was six months old when he was killed. On September 18, 1944, her hydraulic system was knocked out during a mission dropping supplies to Airborne troops in the Netherlands, and she belly-landed at the Woodbridge emergency field. She was salvaged over the following two days.
